My Favorite Science Book

September 26, 2011

I love science books! My all-time favorite book is “A Fruit is a Suitcase for Seeds.” I found out about this book when I taught first grade. It was my favorite story in the first grade Treasures series.

This is an amazing story for plants and I love the imagery in the book. I love to do a writing activity after reading the book where students choose a fruit and give clues about their fruit.

I also love all the Magic School Bus books and the kids do too.

  3. You are an amazing blogger and I always buy your treasure units. :). What kind of writing activity do you do with the book, A Fruit I a Suitcase for Seeds?

  4. I have done a writing activity where the students write clues about a fruit and the other kids had to guess what fruit it was. They were able to use the book to help write their clues.
